Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

Oversees day-to-day functions of the distribution department in collaboratio with Site Manager.
Coaches, trains, and develops distribution associates.
Investigates and ensures shipments are made according to rules and appropriate regulations (e.
g.
DOT, IATA) while meeting customer requirements.
Confirms shipments are properly packaged to allow arrival at customer sites in good condition.
Verifies incoming products are properly inspected for receipt and paperwork is properly processed.
Communicates with carriers to provide necessary information for custom clearance and other similar holds.
Ensures shipments are made in a timely manner to meet requirements.
Packages, ships, and receives goods as necessary and streamlines operations to ensure the distribution department meets expectations.
Keeps SOPs and work instructions up to date.
Trains new employees in areas of shipping and receiving as needed.

Qualifications:

Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous certification, experience, and training in IATA, DGR, and DOT Hazmat is strongly preferred.
Language Ability:
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Working knowledge of/Fluency in the English language (spoken and written).
Mathematical Ability:
Add and subtract two digit numbers and multiply/divide with 10's and 100's.
Perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and/or inventory programs.
Certificates and Licenses:
Upon initial employment, the employee is required to complete the following training within 6 months after the date of their employment or assignment to a facility, or to a new position at the facility (whichever is later):
8-Hour HazWOpER training; EPA RCRA training; and training on the business unit Emergency Response Plan.
Thereafter, the employee is required to complete annual 8-Hour HazWOpER and EPA RCRA refresher trainings.
Internal training on the Anatrace Emergency Response Plan is also required annually.
