Major
Responsibilities:
Produce an accurate and timely payroll in the timeliness required
Meet deadlines as established by management
Enter and audit one time pay data adjustments
Enter and audit any non-plant related overtime
Balance hours extracted from timekeeping system(s) and loaded into payroll system(s)
Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other employee changes or information in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records
Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases
Timely processing of all pertinent documentation received on a daily basis
Maintain compliance with all payroll regulatory tax authorities
Stay current on Federal, State, and Local tax requirements and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process; research as required
Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, and collective agreement provisions
Cross functional solution partnering for upstream process breakdowns or new business needs.
Prepare and process manual check payments as necessary
Garnishment and/or court ordered processing
Assist HRIS in the preparation of Multiple Work Site Reporting and other state and federal statistical reporting
Prepare and forward remittance information for union dues, United Way and other related deductions
Ensure record retention guidelines are followed
Act as back-up for tax analyst and assist the Sr. Payroll Manager with year-end responsibilities and special projects as needed.

Qualifications
A Bachelor s degree is required. Business, accounting or finance is preferred.
3-5 years experience in a shared service or plant payroll environment is preferred.
Possess strong Microsoft Office expertise.
International payroll experience is a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
