Electrical Engineer
Advance Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a busy Holland area client that is seeking an electrical engineer. This is a Direct Hire position with a very competitive salary and benefits package.
This position will install, validate, and control all battery manufacturing processes in a Tier I manufacturing facility. Employee operates with minimum direction and performs varied and somewhat complex work where independent judgment and action is exercised. Employee will be a member of an operations team whose primary focus is to provide technical support for manufacturing floor, drive improvements through innovation and manage capital projects. Employee must demonstrate the ability to build cohesive teams across all levels within the company.
Primary Duties:
? Coordinates with project teams in the design, structure, and functionality of plant automation.
? Maintains and troubleshoots plant automation system network structure.
? Develop and manage a system troubleshooting training program.
? Reviews product and process designs for compliance and safety, adherence to company standards, customer contract requirements and to ensure timely completion.
? Manage new equipment installation, validation and start up of plant expansion.
? Reviews capital and revenue budgets on multiple projects.
? Utilizes JCI PLUS methodology to manage multiple scopes of expansion.
? Utilizes Six Sigma and Lean principles in order to address inefficient operations and workstations.
? Position will require a flexible schedule to accommodate the installation of equipment, training of employees and general troubleshooting.
? Develops, coachs and trains engineering, maintenance and operator teams on new processes and technology.
? Provide technical coverage for rotating weekend schedule.
? Performs any other duties as assigned.
Job Specifications:
Requirements:
BSEE/BSME from accredited college or university, Associates acceptable
5 -10 years experience in a related role
Manufacturing experience, Tier I preferred
Must have a strong understanding of the basic theory of industrial control systems and experience in PLC programming (Allen Bradley Micro Logic, SLC 5000's, Control Logix 5000 processors, RS View, and legacy systems, etc). Experience in HMI programming (AB Panelview and Panelview Plus); knowledge of Ethernet IP, TCP, IP systems, understanding of Vision Systems (Cognex, DVT, Keyence) and comprehension of Robotic (Fanuc/ABB) programming and controls.
Hydraulic and pneumatic skills are a plus
Other Skills and Abilities:
Green Belt/Black Belt certification preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills -- ability to communicate across all levels within organization and considerable customer interaction.
