Woodsage LLC is a growing manufacturer of fabricated steel tube products. This position would be based out of our location in Holland, OH.
The Welder's responsibilities include, but may not be limited to,
Understand the safety features of the machines and ensure machines are operating without compromise to those safety systems.
Follows safety protocol, including wearing heat resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
Assesses equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods.
Maintain welding fixtures and tooling in a suitable working order
Ability to perform MIG and TIG welding activities with steel tubing.
Read, understand, and follow work instructions and part prints
Visually inspect weld quality and use other quality inspection equipment to confirm compliance to part specifications.
Ability to recognize quality issues
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Industrial and manufacturing experience
Welding experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong technical knowledge base and working background in MIG and TIG welding of carbon and stainless steel products
Must be able to complete a manual welding test on MIG and TIG cells. Welds are judged on functionality and esthetics.
Must be able to perform accurate mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
Ability to work with fractions and decimals.
A work history of compliance to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
A work history that supports a good to excellent attendance record.
Strong mechanical abilities
Fast learner and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Detail oriented approach to daily work activities
Able to work well in a team oriented work environment.
Must have safety toed boots
Positive attitude, willingness to learn
Self-directed individual
Preferred Skills
At least 2 years welding experience and able to perform MIG and TIG welding
Strong mechanical abilities and able to perform mathematical calculations
Ability to read, interpret and understand Work Orders.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
